1½ oz vodka
½ oz orange liquor
¼ oz lime juice
Dash of cranberry juice
Slice of lime

Add dash of cranberry juice, pour liquors and lime juice into mixing glass. Shake briskly and pour into Martini Glass. Add slice of lime to garnish.

Have guns, will travel.

Whiskey Learnin's

Bourbon, by law must contain 51 % corn and 49 % other grains. Bourbon is normally distilled in Kentucky.

Tennesse Whiskey is similar to Bourbon except it goes through an additional step of charcoal filtering.

Both sit for a period of several years in charred oak casks.

Weekend Grilling

Spent Saturday carefully preparing cheeseburgers and hot links on the grill. A bottle of Dickel Bourbon was the unfortunate victim of the day. Enjoyed a nice Romeo y Julieta Habana Reserve and listened to the low dull chatter of cicadas.

Suspenders

I like logging suspenders.

Luau

I believe I am requiring a luau and some cased pork products cooked over a fire. Rum drinks and hint of fruit juice are in order for the weekend. This heat is oppressive and unrelenting.

I need some time to kick my feet up and listen to the rich sounds of Hawaiian guitar. I want to forget about the dreadful heat. One night below 70 degrees would recharge me completely. Sweating like a barbarian is very unbecoming.

Vodka Tonic

Get out your jigger a highball glass and a few cubes of ice. Pour ingredients and stir.

2 oz vodka

3 - 5 oz tonic water

Add a twist of lime if you feel frisky and than proceed in vanquishing that thirst.
